Do Revenge Review
This might be the best teen dramedy movie yet
Is there anything better than a good revenge movie? I don’t think so. I just watched ‘Do Revenge’ on Netflix and I have to say I don’t think I’ve watched a more fulfilling teenage drama movie. I loved every second of this movie and I actually watched it in one sitting, which I have to say doesn’t happen a lot. I usually get bored of movies like thirty minutes in, so it was a very nice surprise that I didn’t this time.
The plot was amazing, as a fellow writer myself [beginner but who cares], I cannot imagine what was going through the writer’s mind when writing this. The concept is a fresh take on a classic high school revenge drama movie. Popular girl gets dethroned, tries to get her spot back, you know, the usual. But the plot twist is what will get you going. So unexpected and brutal.
The character development was top notch. You see the main characters, Eleanor and Drea, [Maya Hawke and Camilla Mendes, can I just say they looked incredible, great actors] try to take down their arch nemesis but they don’t just go for them directly, they switch and try to take down each other’s enemy for the other. I feel like I’m complicating the whole story, but basically Eleanor brings down Drea’s enemy and vice versa. The whole story changes though when there is a betrayal, a tiny tidbit that no one knew or shall I say that no one remembered. Ooh, the drama.
I loved this movie. I would ten out of ten recommend. If you love teenage, petty revenge drama, this movie is for you. With that said, I hope you enjoy the movie as much as I did, if you do decide to watch. Trust me, you won’t regret it.
